ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL BY SANKARA
ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL BY SANKARA
In a breathtaking cyberpunk future set in 2563, Earth bears the scars of “The Fall”—a devastating war that leveled civilizations and left humanity divided. From the ruins rises Iron City, a gritty scrapyard metropolis crumbling beneath the enigmatic floating utopia of Zalem.
One day, a compassionate cyber-doctor named Dr. Dyson Ido (Christoph Waltz) scours the junk-filled streets and discovers a decapitated cyborg head—yet the human brain inside is still alive. He rebuilds her in his clinic, naming her Alita after his deceased daughter. When she awakens, the only thing missing is her memory. And with no recollection of her past, Alita is essentially reborn.
As Alita explores her new existence, she forms a connection with Hugo, a street-smart young man with sky-high dreams of reaching Zalem. He introduces her to Motorball—a brutal, high-speed combat sport where the winner gains passage to the elusive floating city. But Alita’s path is far more tumultuous: her innate mastery of an ancient martial art, Panzer Kunst, reveals hidden depths of strength and history.
Conflict ignites when Alita confronts deadly cyborg assassins sent by the powerful Nova, the mysterious ruler behind Iron City’s corrupt underbelly. A relentless adversary, Grewishka, emerges—forcing Alita and Dr. Ido into a life-risking fight for survival.
Driven by both instinct and determination, Alita registers as a Hunter-Warrior—a bounty hunter in the lawless city—and ultimately participates in a fierce Motorball competition. As her past begins to seep through, and her violently honed skills shine, the true magnitude of her identity—and her origin—starts to unfold.
